The Willamette Writers Logo, created in 2007. I was the third graphic designer to attempt the job in a year-long process.

The androgynous phrenology head, affectionately dubbed "Willie," has been the Willamette Writers conference logo since 2005. I found that Willie likes to dress up to fit the theme of each conference: 2007 "Writing: It's Magic," 2008 "Looking for Easy Writers," 2009 "Abundance," 2010 "The Future's So Bright You're Gonna Have to Wear Shades," and 2011 "Welcome Home" in honor of the new Willamette Writing House. Click on each of the dressed-up heads to see the conference brochure or program for that year.

Willamette Writers has been one of my major clients for several years. I created their new logo, their Young Willamette Writers website and logo, and have done the graphic and layout work for the annual conference since 2007.
I produce the conference brochure and program, signs, bookmarks, flyers and other peripherals – doing much of the writing/editing. This conference is one of the largest in the United States, and the brochure has grown from a 24-page 6 X 9" in 2007 to a 28-page 8.5 X 11" in 2011.

An invitation to a fundraiser for the Miracle Theater. I had a lot of fun writing the Hemingway story inside.
